Cast Aluminum 5-Cylinder Intake Manifold

The Integrated Engineering 2.5L Intake Manifold is a high-performance upgrade for 5-cylinder engines, crafted from cast aluminum for optimal flow characteristics. This intake manifold is designed for easy installation on 07K engines, fitting with factory components without requiring modifications to the engine bay, vacuum, emissions, fuel, or coolant systems. The plenum is larger than the factory piece, requiring the included IE 2.5L manifold air intake kit to adapt the throttle body and mass airflow sensor placement. To realize the full power potential, an IE Stage 2 ECU tune is required, which recalibrates the factory ECU for the increased volume and flow, leading to substantial power and torque increases. For vehicles with automatic transmissions, an IE TCU Transmission tune is also necessary to remove factory rev limiters and allow the engine to utilize the full gains. Fitment is restricted to VW 2.5L engines equipped with an electric power steering system. Vehicles with a hydraulic power steering pump, which is located below the factory intake manifold, will not fit. Professional installation is recommended due to the complexity of the procedure and the potential for serious engine damage if installed incorrectly.
