The PPE ZF 8-Speed Heavy-Duty Cast Aluminum Transmission Pan directly addresses this by offering superior cooling and increased fluid capacity. Constructed from premium A356.0-T6 heat-treated cast aluminum alloy, this pan provides a significant 2.0-quart increase in fluid capacity. This extra volume allows for better heat management, keeping your transmission operating within optimal temperature ranges. The pan is precision-cast using permanent steel molds, ensuring a smooth finish and high dimensional accuracy. Enhanced cooling is achieved through tall 3/4-inch external fins that maximize heat-wicking surface area and add impact resistance. Internally, 1/2-inch baffles work with the external fins to create an ultra-strong cross-bracing structure, improving heat absorption and minimizing fluid sloshing for consistent pickup and stable performance. For easier servicing, the pan features a 304 stainless steel drain plug with a neodymium magnet to trap ferrous particles. It also includes a 1/8-inch NPT port for accessory connections and integrated filter supports. This pan is compatible with OEM gaskets and steel collars, and a new transmission filter (SKU 228058700) is included. It is noted that this specific pan (SKU 228053000) offers a 2.0-quart capacity gain, while SKU 228053400 offers 1.0 quart for better clearance. Fitment is verified for 2020-2025 A90 Supra with an 8-speed transmission, and many 2013-2018 BMW 2/3/4/5/6/7 series and X3/X4/X5/X6 SUVs.
