During performance tuning, it was observed that the factory intercooler struggles to maintain optimal charge air temperatures, especially in the upper RPM range, hindering power output. This FBM 850Hp prototype intercooler was developed to resolve this issue. Data logging indicated a notable drop of 20-25 degrees Fahrenheit in charge air temperature. The intercooler has been designed using CAD to optimize its placement and maximize the available space behind the bumper. Its cast aluminum end tanks are designed for clearance and fitment, and the intercooler is rated to support up to 850 horsepower. The intercooler is presented as a 100% bolt-on solution, simplifying the installation process for enthusiasts. It is specifically designed for the 2016+ Ford Focus RS model.
