The World Products 053030 Windsor Jr. cylinder head is a high-performance replacement for factory cast iron heads, designed to provide significant power gains for Ford 302 engines. Its 180cc intake runners and larger 64cc exhaust ports, compared to OEM Ford heads, contribute to "big bolt-on power." The head also features a highly efficient combustion chamber design and larger valves. These cylinder heads are 50-State emissions legal and serve as factory replacements. Constructed from high-density cast iron, this bare casting (Casting ID: I-056) includes integral cast iron valve guides and hardened exhaust valve seats. The spring seats are machined to accommodate 1.560″ springs. It comes with ERSON stainless steel valves, featuring a 1.940″ intake diameter and 1.600″ exhaust diameter (11/32″ stem). The combustion chamber volume is 58cc, and the valve angle is the stock 20°. The intake runner volume is 180cc with standard port location, and the exhaust ports are 64cc with a dual bolt pattern to fit custom headers. It utilizes a raised valve cover rail with a perimeter design. Additional technical details include 1.6 ratio rocker arms (note: 1.73 ratio may require elongation of pushrod holes), and stock accessory bolt holes. Guide plates and rocker arm studs are not included. The spark plug requirement is a 14mm 5/8″, .460″ reach tapered style (e.g., ACCEL 276 or 276S). The valve job features a multi-angle intake and radius exhaust. Flow data for the Windsor Jr 170cc Iron Head is available, measured using a Superflow 600 at 28″ with specific port preparation and valves.
