Cast Iron Cylinder Head for Vortec L31 Engines

The Chevrolet Performance 19436449 is an assembled cast iron cylinder head, patterned after the LT1 cylinder heads found in the 1992-96 Corvette. Originally used on the 1996 fuel-injected L31 pickup truck engines, these Vortec heads are known for their excellent out-of-the-box flow, producing broad torque and significant power. This cylinder head is equipped with 1.940" intake valves and 1.500" exhaust valves, housed within a 64cc combustion chamber. The intake ports measure 170cc. The included stock single valve springs are suitable for valve lifts up to 0.450". The head utilizes a 14mm spark plug with a 0.708" reach (straight design), and the NGK TR55GP is the suggested plug. These Vortec cylinder heads are compatible with all small-block Chevrolet engines produced from 1955 to the present, with the exclusion of LT1/LT4 reverse coolant flow engines and current LS1 style engines.
