Cast Turbo Inlet

The COBB Tuning Cast Turbo Inlet is engineered as a robust upgrade for the failure-prone OEM turbo inlet found on 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and 2014-2018 Subaru Forester XT models. The factory component, often made of hardened plastic, is susceptible to cracking and leaks over time due to heat cycles. This COBB inlet addresses these issues by utilizing a durable cast aluminum construction. Featuring an increased inlet inner diameter of 70mm (a 5mm gain over stock) and an outlet matched to the factory compressor inlet at 50mm, this turbo inlet is designed to maximize airflow to the turbocharger. It includes provisions for mounting either stock or COBB Electronic Boost Control Solenoids, as well as threaded ports for factory-sized PCV and EVAP fittings, which are included. The connection for the Bypass Valve (BPV) is replaced with a reinforced silicone coupler, offering superior durability compared to the original brittle plastic component. A captive o-ring is integrated on the turbocharger side to ensure a leak-free installation. The design also includes flats on the inlet for the addition of auxiliary pressure or temperature sensors. This turbo inlet is compatible with COBB Off-The-Shelf (OTS) maps and packages. It directly replaces the OEM component, mitigating common air leak issues. The product is also noted as being 50 State Legal with California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order number D-660-82, making it legal for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles nationwide.
