Description

The CTS Turbo CAST Turbo Muffler Delete is engineered as a direct replacement for the restrictive OEM Turbo Muffler found on Non-MQB Gen3 EA888.3 1.8TSI and 2.0TSI engines equipped with the factory Garrett/Honeywell MGT1752S turbocharger (OE part number 06K145874). Constructed from a single piece of T6 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with a hard anodization for durability, this component is designed to optimize performance. By removing the power-robbing OEM muffler, which is primarily intended to reduce turbocharger harmonic noise, the CTS Turbo Muffler Delete allows for improved airflow, resulting in an estimated gain of 6-7HP and enhanced throttle response. The installation process is designed to be straightforward, typically requiring only 30 minutes with basic hand tools, and it ensures a perfect fit. This muffler delete is compatible with both factory and CTS Turbo outlet pipes. Specific fitment includes the Volkswagen Beetle (MK2) Gen3 ONLY, Volkswagen Jetta (MK6) 1.8TSI & GLI 2.0T (2013.5-2018), Volkswagen Scirocco (MK3) Gen3 ONLY, and Volkswagen Passat 1.8TSI & 2.0TSI (B7) Gen3 ONLY.
