The IE Engineering Catback Exhaust System is designed for the Audi B9 S5 (2017-2024). It features a proprietary no-drone resonator system to cancel out unwanted exhaust drone while producing an aggressive, yet refined sound. This system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel with hand-TIG-welded joints for durability.

The iE Catback Exhaust System is engineered to deliver an aggressive yet refined exhaust note for the 2017-2024 Audi B9 S5 Coupe and Sportback models. At its core is iE’s proprietary DroneTrap technology, utilizing mathematically-tuned resonators to eliminate exhaust drone, allowing for deep, satisfying roars and rumbles. The design also includes strength-boosting bridged piping to distribute weight and reduce stress, along with wide-width stretch clamps for leak-free connections. It is finished with aggressive-looking, 90mm slash-cut quad tips that fill the factory exhaust cutouts for a sporty aesthetic. Installation is designed to be DIY-friendly with no cutting or welding required, typically taking 3-4 hours. Standard mechanic tools are needed, and an auto-lift is recommended. Notably, this exhaust system is 50-state legal and compliant with emissions standards, ensuring no check engine light illumination. However, it is not currently legal for road use in California due to emissions laws. Additionally, this product carries a California Prop 65 warning, as it can expose users to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
