This system is crafted for direct fitment, replacing the stock exhaust with improved flow characteristics. It features a distinctive slash-cut tip and a piping diameter that transitions from 60.5mm to 76.3mm, designed to optimize exhaust gas velocity and reduce back pressure. Performance gains are evident in the acceleration figures, with the Fujitsubo system reducing the 50-100 km/h time from 2.2 seconds (OEM) to 2.1 seconds. Similarly, the supercharging pressure sees a slight increase from 0.82 kgf/cm² (OEM) to 0.84 kgf/cm². While the Fujitsubo system is slightly heavier than the OEM unit (16.6kg vs 16.5kg), this is often a trade-off for enhanced durability and performance components. The exhaust note also sees a change, with idling sound increasing from 72dB (OEM) to 75dB, and the noise level near the exhaust at 4500rpm rising from 86dB to 90dB. This exhaust system is compatible with the Mitsubishi Lancer CD5A 4G93 (10/1991-10/1994), Lancer Evolution I CD9A 4G63 (09/1992-12/1993), Lancer Evolution II CE9A 4G63 (01/1994-12/1994), and Lancer Evolution III CE9A 4G63 (01/1995-07/1996). It is important to note that this system cannot be used for CD5A models after a mid-cycle change (M/C).
