The 034Motorsport Catch Can Kit is designed to replace the failure-prone PCV breather hose on EA839-equipped Audi vehicles, offering a critical safety enhancement for both stock and tuned applications. The original equipment (OE) PCV breather hose relies on internal check valves that are susceptible to premature failure due to high engine bay temperatures and pressure fluctuations. This failure can result in improper crankcase pressure regulation, leading to oil leaks, potential engine damage, and even fire hazards. Audi has even issued a Technical Service Bulletin regarding this issue. This kit features proprietary check valves engineered for high-flow capability and a strong seal, capable of holding over 40+ PSI and withstanding extreme temperatures. These valves incorporate a durable rubber diaphragm and a nylon ball check valve for reliability. The hoses are large diameter, 4-ply reinforced, and fluorolined silicone to prevent collapse under vacuum or boost and to stop oil vapor from sweating through. It prevents crankcase oil deposits from entering the intake manifold and valves, thereby reducing carbon buildup and promoting cleaner combustion.
