The CTS Turbo Catch Can Kit is a premier solution for the MK7+ GTI & Golf, designed to prevent oil vapors from entering the intake manifold and clogging intake valves on direct-injection engines. This issue can lead to reduced performance and poor fuel mileage. By capturing these oil deposits, the kit helps maintain clean intake valves and ensures smooth engine operation, providing peace of mind regarding the PCV system. The kit features a CNC-machined billet aluminum valve cover breather, crafted from T6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. It also includes a billet aluminum catch can with a built-in oil-level dipstick, -10 AN Black-Series braided hoses, a mounting bracket, and stainless hardware, along with a Hose-Wrangler clamp. All necessary installation hardware is included, though the factory PCV gasket must be reused. A note of caution is provided regarding potential freezing of the liquid inside the catch can during winter months, which could damage the engine, advising extra attention to the liquid level or removal during sub-freezing temperatures. This catch can was extensively tested on a 600hp VW Golf R and is recognized as one of the most efficient systems available.
