This transmission features an Alto High Performance Clutch Kit utilizing Red Eagle friction material for enhanced friction coefficients and heat resistance, paired with Kolene steels. The factory 24- or 34-element sprag, known for its susceptibility to fatigue, is replaced with a robust 45 element sprag, offering up to a 53% increase in element count for superior durability. Further enhancing performance and control, this transmission incorporates the TransGo HD2 Tugger Kit for precise valve body calibration. This kit allows for adjustable shift firmness, doubles low clutch holding pressure for reliable downhill braking, and improves exhaust braking capabilities. It also corrects issues such as soft shifts, converter burn-up, and reverse delay, while improving converter feed capacity for better cooling and lubrication. The included SunCoast Category 1 Triple Disc Billet Torque Converter is built for everyday duties, towing, and hauling, offering improved vehicle response and reliable performance with its furnace-brazed fins, hardened turbine splines, and carbon-graphitic clutch discs for precise lock-up. However, this converter is not intended for racing applications. The transmission comes with a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
