Category 5 E4OD Automatic Transmission

The SunCoast Category 5 E4OD transmission is a robust upgrade designed for 1995-1997 4WD Ford F250 and F350 models, capable of supporting up to 750 horsepower. This transmission features a comprehensive rebuild with performance-enhancing components, including a bushing kit, TransGo Tugger Kit, new solenoid pack, a 45-element intermediate sprag, and a carbon fiber intermediate band. It also includes a billet forward clutch drum, a larger billet intermediate shaft with dual bushing support, a billet output shaft made from 300M material, and an Aeromet billet input shaft to resist torsional fatigue. The included SunCoast Category 1 Billet Triple-Disc Torque Converter, featuring a billet stator and a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty, complements the transmission's capabilities for heavy-duty towing and hauling, though it is not intended for racing. The clutch kit utilizes Alto Red Eagle clutches with Kolene steels, known for their high friction coefficients and heat resistance, minimizing slip and reducing heat generation. The valve body is calibrated with the TransGo HD2 Tugger Kit, which provides improved downhill braking and allows for adjustable shift firmness, while also correcting common issues like soft shifts and converter burn-up.
