The Blox Racing CEL Fix Check Engine Light Eliminator Adapter, also known as an O2 sensor extender or defouler, is designed to eliminate the Check Engine Light (CEL) that often appears when test pipes or high-flow catalytic converters are installed. When a catalytic converter is removed, exhaust temperatures can increase, triggering O2 sensor codes. This adapter works by repositioning the O2 sensor, moving it away from the direct exhaust stream to prevent overheating while still enabling it to accurately read exhaust gas content. Constructed from high-grade plated steel, the Blox Racing CEL Fix features an M18x1.5 thread size for broad compatibility. Installation is straightforward: the adapter threads into the existing O2 sensor bung on the exhaust system, and then the O2 sensor threads into the CEL Fix adapter. Each unit is sold individually, but note that some vehicles, such as the 350Z, 370Z, G37, and G35, require two adapters for complete CEL elimination. It is important to note that fitment can vary depending on specific vehicle, transmission, and test pipe or catalytic converter combinations. Users should confirm that there is adequate clearance to space the O2 sensors out before ordering. The product has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available for purchase.
