The BimmerWorld Center Hood Vents are functional air extractors designed specifically for BMW applications. These vents help reduce front-end lift and vent hot air by creating a low-pressure zone over the louvers, pulling air from the vents. They also improve radiator and cooler efficiency and reduce lift by allowing engine bay air to escape.

The BimmerWorld Center Hood Vents are engineered as functional air extractors, distinct from universal vents, to enhance aerodynamic performance on specific BMW models. Their design leverages a low-pressure zone created over the louvers, which actively pulls air from the vents, making cooling systems more efficient and allowing for tighter gaps and improved aerodynamics. This design also helps mitigate the "sail effect" where air trapped in the engine bay can lift the front of the car. Constructed from high-strength, crack-resistant aluminum with a durable powdercoat finish, these lightweight vents (1.8 lbs) feature numerous attachment points for a secure installation. Detailed instructions and a cutting template are included to aid in the installation process. Application Note: While designed using the F30/F32 hood, this vent is compatible with other listed BMWs. However, hood body lines, creases, and the underlying support structure may result in an imperfect fit on models other than the F30/F32. The E90 sedan is specifically noted as not compatible with LCI models (2009-2011). Please contact BimmerWorld with any questions or concerns regarding fitment.
