The APR Performance Rear Diffuser for the Honda S2000 is an aerodynamic component designed to work in conjunction with other aero parts to produce downforce. It functions by redirecting high-speed airflow from underneath the car to smoothly transition into the low-pressure vacuum at the rear, created as the car moves forward and displaces air. This process encourages a smoother airflow under the car, improving the performance of other aerodynamic components like wings.
