Description

The Melling BT5109HP is a primary timing chain tensioner designed for improved durability in high RPM applications. It features a heavy-duty cast iron construction. This tensioner is OE manufactured for Ford and Ford Performance and fits 2011-2023 Mustang 5.0L Coyote engines and 2011-2020 F150 5.0L Coyote engines.

It was also used on the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet engine program. Note that when using Boss primary tensioners, CR3Z-6K255-A tensioner arms must be used to provide the necessary pocket for the tensioner's ratcheting mechanism.
