The Cloyes Gear & Products 9-5752 is a metal engine timing chain tensioner designed to maintain appropriate tension in the timing chain. It utilizes either spring tension or hydraulic pressure, depending on the design and application, to ensure optimal performance. Cloyes recommends replacing the chain, tensioners, guides, and sprockets together during service for complete timing system integrity. The tensioner is CAD designed and manufactured from premium, heat-treated materials for OE-level fit and function, facilitating smooth installation and reliable operation. It has been extensively tested for function, fitment, and durability.
