Challenger SFI Racing Suit

The K1 RaceGear Challenger SFI Racing Suit is engineered to provide essential safety and comfort for racers, from professionals to amateurs. This one-piece suit is constructed from a single layer of lightweight, fire-retardant Proban cotton, offering reliable protection at an accessible price point. It meets the SFI 3.2A/1 rating, making it suitable for entry-level competition. Designed for ease of movement, the Challenger suit features 360-degree shoulder gussets, allowing for unrestricted motion during driving. The suit's versatility is further enhanced by its availability as a one-piece driving suit or as separate jacket and pants, allowing racers to customize their gear to their specific needs. It is important to note that while FR cotton, including Proban, is treated with flame-retardant chemicals for initial resistance, this treatment can diminish over the garment's lifetime through washing. Unlike inherently flame-resistant materials like Nomex®, FR cotton's protection is not permanent. The SFI 3.2A/1 certification indicates the suit has been tested for up to 6 seconds in simulated fires, offering approximately 3 seconds of protection against second-degree burns.
