Chambered Muffler

The Hooker Headers 21729 Aero Chamber Muffler is constructed from durable aluminized steel and features a natural finish. It is designed to improve exhaust flow by 23 percent, increasing horsepower and torque. The muffler utilizes a unique stepped acceleration chamber to increase exhaust gas velocity and maximum flow. Internal rust is eliminated by a stainless steel perforated plate. An aerodynamic lens directs sound pressure waves into an acceleration chamber and out of the muffler, while a sound absorption chamber eliminates high-frequency sound waves to produce a deep, throaty, powerful sound. A resonance chamber and tuning tube work together to cancel unwanted frequencies and amplitudes, ensuring a consistent and powerful sound that does not change over time. This muffler has a single 3-inch offset inlet and dual 2-1/2-inch outlets. It is specifically noted as a replacement for Camaro/Firebird 'F-Body' vehicles from 1986-1992. The product is legal for sale or use on emissions-controlled vehicles.
