Charge Pipe

The AMS Performance 2022+ Subaru WRX Charge Pipe is engineered to significantly enhance airflow and horsepower by replacing the restrictive OEM plastic piping. This upgrade features a full 2.5” high-flow charge air pathway, which the manufacturer claims reduces restriction by 43% and increases airflow by 25% compared to the stock component. The pipe is constructed from CNC-machined 6061 T6 billet aluminum, offering superior durability over the OEM plastic. It includes an optimized cast intercooler inlet bell mouth for improved airflow and an enlarged TMIC connection flange (13% larger) to further promote efficient air delivery to the intercooler. This charge pipe is specifically designed for the 2022+ Subaru WRX models equipped with the OEM Top-Mounted Intercooler (TMIC). An adapter is included with the OEM TMIC Fitment option to reduce the inlet size back to OEM specifications, ensuring optimal airflow into the smaller OEM TMIC inlet port. For those using aftermarket TMICs, an AMS or Other Aftermarket TMIC Fitment option is available, which does not include this adapter. While AMS cannot guarantee fitment with all aftermarket TMIC brands, most popular options are expected to be compatible. Beyond improved airflow and durability, the AMS Charge Pipe enhances throttle response and overall engine efficiency. Flow bench testing conducted by AMS demonstrated that their charge pipe offered the least restriction and highest flow capacity compared to the OEM setup and leading aftermarket competitors.
