The PRL Motorsports Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit is engineered to enhance the performance of the 2022+ Acura MDX Type-S 3.0T. This kit replaces restrictive factory charge pipes with a smoother, larger diameter cold-side for improved airflow and a factory-diameter hot-side outlet to promote quicker turbocharger spool. The use of 4-ply silicone couplers offers several advantages over the stock rubber hoses: they provide superior heat-soak reduction due to their low thermal conductivity, enhanced strength and rigidity to prevent expansion and boost leaks under higher pressures, and smoother airflow characteristics for optimal performance. The custom-molded silicone also ensures a more precise fitment, especially when paired with aftermarket radiators, surpassing the fitment of the factory hoses. This upgrade kit includes two 4-ply silicone couplers, one 1/8" NPT auxiliary service port, and four 304 stainless steel lined clamps. Importantly, no ECU calibration is required for installation, and it is compatible with all factory-fitment intercoolers. PRL Motorsports states that the factory rubber hoses are prone to expansion and weakening over time, particularly with increased boost, and have even experienced melting during track use. Please be aware that this product is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission-controlled vehicle. Additionally, the use of aftermarket parts may affect your vehicle's factory warranty.
