Developed by Spoon Japan, this kit aims to address the natural loosening of bolt holes in chassis and subframe connections that occurs over time. This loosening can lead to decreased responsiveness and a less connected feel to the road, even after other suspension components are replaced. The principle behind the Rigid Collar is to eliminate play between mating panels. The kit includes aluminum washers with a tapered outer shape and a square profile to ensure optimal adhesion. When installed and tightened, these collars are effectively crushed into place, creating a solid bond between the two panels and preventing movement. This process does not alter the basic geometry of the vehicle's body. Installation of the Spoon Rigid Collar Kit is described as simple and low-cost. By reducing chassis movement, the kit offers several benefits, including improved handling, reduced road noise, decreased vibration, enhanced braking performance, and potentially increased safety in the event of an accident. This specific front kit is compatible with the Honda Civic EG3 (1992-1995, D13B1 engine), Civic EG4 (1992-1995, D15B engine), and Civic EG6 (1992-1995, B16A engine).
