The ATK Engines DCM6 is a remanufactured long block 5.7L (350ci) V8 engine designed for 1987-1995 Chevrolet light-duty trucks and SUVs. This 16-valve OHV gasoline engine features a 2-bolt main bearing configuration, non-roller camshaft, and 8.3:1 compression ratio, outputting 160 bhp and 250 lb-ft of torque. Each unit includes an installation gasket set and oil pump.

This engine is specifically engineered for TBI (Throttle Body Injection) systems found in standard 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton GM truck applications from this era. It serves as a direct replacement for stock units to restore original performance levels.

Installation requires standard automotive shop equipment for heavy engine removal and installation. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper timing, break-in procedures, and system integration with the factory fuel injection and cooling components. Reuse of existing intake, exhaust manifolds, and accessory brackets is generally required.

This assembly is compatible with 1987-1995 Chevrolet light-duty vehicles including C/K series pickups, Suburban, and K5 Blazer models. It is not designed for heavy-duty applications over 8,500 lbs GVW. Verification of casting numbers (e.g., 638, 548, 148, 727, 880) against the vehicle's specific engine block is recommended.
