Description

The KB Performance Pistons SKB156R.040 is a hypereutectic piston designed for performance applications. It features a flat top with two valve reliefs and a 4.040 in. bore. The piston material is hypereutectic aluminum, and it includes a wrist pin and retainers.

These pistons are made from 390 aluminum alloy and heat-treated to T6 standards, making them 30 percent stronger. They are 100 percent CNC-machined with a high upper compression-ring location, gas-accumulator groove, drilled oil returns, and spiral-lock retainer grooves. The lightweight, rigid-rib skirt design stabilizes the piston in the bore for improved oil control, reduced blow-by, and increased ring life. This piston is sold individually and is for the right side only.
