The Choate Performance Engineering "Daily Driver" 6.6L LB7 Duramax short block is rated for 500+ HP capability. It features a fully balanced rotating assembly, upgraded stronger pistons to prevent cracking, a keyed crankshaft, steel connecting rods, and new main, rod, and cam bearings. The engine block undergoes extensive CNC blueprint machining, including decking, diamond honing of cylinders, and line honing of main bearing bores. This crate engine is designed for 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500 and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500 trucks with the 6.6L LB7 Duramax diesel engine and Allison 1000 automatic transmission. It includes new main bolts, lifters, freeze plugs, oil pump, upper and lower oil pans, gaskets, seals, and front and rear covers and seals. Flywheel is not included for manual builds.
