Overview

The K&N KN-171C is a chrome oil filter designed for powersports applications. It features a modern synthetic filter media for ultimate flow and less pressure drop, while providing outstanding filtration. This spin-on oil filter has a heavy-duty metal can and a 17 mm nut for easy removal. The nut is also cross-drilled to allow for safety wiring by racers.

This oil filter is an OE replacement for most cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, and ATVs. It includes an anti-drain back valve, where applicable, to eliminate dry starts and prevent oil from draining back into the crankcase during engine shutdown.

The K&N KN-171C is a premium chrome oil filter engineered for powersports vehicles, offering a blend of high flow and superior filtration. The heavy-duty steel construction is built to withstand extreme conditions, making it a robust choice for demanding applications. Designed for convenience and performance, this spin-on canister filter features an exposed 17 mm nut that facilitates easy installation and removal, even with wrenches. For racing applications, the 17 mm nut is cross-drilled, allowing for secure safety wiring to prevent accidental loosening. The filter also incorporates an anti-drain back valve (where applicable) to prevent dry starts and maintain oil pressure during engine shutdown. As an Original Equipment (OE) replacement, the K&N KN-171C is suitable for a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, and ATVs. The gasket is made from durable nitrile rubber, and the inside thread size is 3/4"-16, ensuring compatibility with numerous engine types.
