This ATK Engines DDK37 is a remanufactured crate engine that requires conventional or break-in oil for the first 600 miles, with specific driving recommendations during this period. An oil and filter change with conventional oil is needed at 600 miles, and synthetic oil can be used after 5,000 miles.
