Description

This high-performance short block is built with a GM LM7 5.3L (Iron LS1/LS6) block, compatible with year range 1999-2007. It features a 3.903” x 4.000” bore/stroke, achieving 383 cubic inches. Key components include a Manley 4340 forged 24-tooth crankshaft, Scat premium pro 4340 I-beam rods with ARP 8740 bolts, and Wiseco 2618 forged -15cc dished moly skirt coated pistons with Wiseco GFX alloy steel top rings. Compression ratios range from 9.9:1 (65cc head) to 9.5:1 (70cc head). Camshaft bearings, freeze plugs, and oil galley plugs are pre-installed and sealed. Recommended components: internal balance balancer, internal balance flex plate/flywheel, and a Melling #10295 high-pressure oil pump. Break-in requires 10W40 non-synthetic oil for 3000 miles and a Wix or K&N oil filter.
