The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1926B-P is a meticulously remanufactured complete axle assembly, engineered for the Chrysler 8.25" differential. This unit is designed to provide reliable performance with its 3.92 gear ratio and Posi-Traction limited-slip differential, making it ideal for 4x4 applications. Each axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process to meet high standards of precision and reliability. This includes thorough inspection of tubes for straightness and housings for wear and cracks. All internal components, such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are 100% inspected and tested. Furthermore, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and set to the correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. Proper gear backlash is also set to ensure quiet operation and adequate gear lubrication. The housing is inspected to ensure it meets OEM standards for straightness. This specific assembly is designed for 1998-2002 Dodge Durango models equipped with the Chrysler 8.25" axle and a 3.92 gear ratio, featuring Posi-Traction. It is important to note that this assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which will need to be sourced separately.
