This unit is designed for 2000-2002 Dodge Dakota models, featuring a 3.92 gear ratio, Posi-Traction limited-slip differential, and provisions for a sway bar. It is intended for 2WD applications. Zumbrota Drivetrain ensures the highest quality standards in their remanufacturing process. Each axle assembly is meticulously inspected for structural integrity, including straightness, cracks, and surface wear on housings and tubes. Internally, all components like ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers are thoroughly inspected and tested. To guarantee reliability and performance, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gears are precisely set for optimal tooth contact, correct rolling torque (measured in inch-pounds), and proper backlash, which is crucial for gear lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process for both internal and external parts.
