Description

The Vintage Speed Classic 14" Quick Shifter provides a significant upgrade for classic VW models, including the Beetle, KG, Type 34, Type 3, and VW Thing. Constructed with a durable ADC-12 powder-coated aluminum shifter base, this unit is built to last. It features a beefed-up stainless steel shaft for increased strength and reliability. The design incorporates a 40% reduction in throw, allowing for faster and more precise gear changes. Additionally, a new pull-up style reverse lockout mechanism is integrated for improved functionality. Installation is facilitated by a redesigned stop plate, which makes positioning the shifter base easier than previous models. The shifter comes with stainless steel mounting hardware. The included black shift knob is embossed with the classic VW four-speed shift pattern, maintaining an authentic aesthetic. Options are available for LHD or RHD vehicles, and different shifter base and knob finishes can be selected at the time of purchase.
