Description

The Clevite 77 Plastigage MPB-1 is a blue Plastigage designed for checking total vertical oil clearance during engine reassembly. It is intended as a final verification tool and not a substitute for precise measurements of crankshaft journals, housing bores, or bearing dimensions using micrometers and gauges.

This Plastigage is available in four sizes and features a measuring scale printed in inches and millimeters. The strips are color-coded for easy identification and are soluble in oil. The MPB-1 specifically covers a clearance range of 0.004 to 0.009 inches (0.102 to 0.229 mm).
