The BE Bearings SP1527F-STD-S65 is a V2 set of rod bearings designed for BMW S65B40 engines. These bearings are manufactured by Clevite to BE Bearing specifications and are sold as a complete set for 8 cylinders. They feature a tri-metal "F" series design with a Silver Oxide coating, offering 30% more load capacity and improved performance in low oil conditions compared to the original BMW bearings.

The BE Bearings SP1527F-STD-S65 (V2) are performance rod bearings engineered to replace the factory BMW rod bearings in S65B40 engines. The original BMW bearings are known to have insufficient clearance, which can lead to premature wear and potential engine failure. BE Bearings, in collaboration with Clevite, has developed these V2 bearings to address this critical design flaw. These V2 bearings utilize an advanced Clevite tri-metal "F" series design, replacing the previous "H" series. They are coated with Silver Oxide instead of PTFE, offering enhanced durability and performance. The F series shell design can handle 30% more load capacity, making it suitable for higher horsepower applications. The Silver Oxide coating provides superior performance in low oil and boundary lubrication conditions, offering better embeddability and anti-seizure resistance. They are also designed for use with factory 10W60 weight oils and are suitable for start-stop engines. These bearings are sold as a complete set for all 8 cylinders and are designed with extra clearance to correct the factory BMW rod bearing flaw. The material is a softer tri-metal, which is more tolerant of foreign particles in the oil than the harder tin-aluminum of the original bearings. This updated design spent two years in development and is noted as being the same design used in Dodge Hellcat engines, with BE Bearings being the first aftermarket manufacturer to offer it.
