The Clevite MS1417A40 is a set of main bearings designed for Volkswagen air-cooled engines. These bearings are made from AL-5 material and are undersized by 0.040 inches to accommodate crankshaft regrinding.

The bearing bore diameter is 2.125 inches, and they are classified as journal bearings.
