Tilton has upgraded their popular line of OT-140 5.5” metallic clutches with lower rate diaphragm spring options (White, Orange, Gray). These new springs significantly reduce release loads compared to other 5.5″ racing clutches, putting less stress on engine crankshaft thrust bearings and making them ideal for smaller 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines. The lower release load also equates to less pedal effort for the driver. Available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-plate configurations, these OT-140 metallic racing clutches offer low moment-of-inertia, high torque capacity, and reliability for demanding racing applications. Features include an open, one-piece clutch cover for lower operating temperatures and minimal deflection, chrome vanadium diaphragm springs, high-strength steel pressure and floater plates, and a .104″-thick friction disc for excellent wear resistance. Each clutch is dynamically balanced and individually inspected. Not recommended for street use. Applications: Road Racing, Circle Track, Open Wheel, Formula, Short Course Off Road.
