The Clutch Masters FX725 Series 7.25" (184mm) twin-disc clutch kit is designed for high-performance applications, particularly drag racing, due to its minimal rotational mass. The "Race" (TD7R) version features two ceramic rigid discs. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum (Type 3 hard anodized) for approximately 25% more tensile strength than cast units, which helps eliminate flex and improve consistent clutch operation. It incorporates the QR (Quick Release) System with three spring-loaded bolts for even and smooth engagement/disengagement and up to 50% reduction in internal clutch noise/chatter. Flywheels are available in billet 6061-T6 aluminum (SFI spec 1.2 for competition) or 1045 billet steel (black oxide treated). Aluminum flywheels include a replaceable insert. This kit increases friction area, distributing heat and load across two friction faces to handle significantly more torque without modifying the factory bellhousing, making it suitable for high-torque street and track applications.
