The Clutch Masters FX725 is a 7.25" (184mm) Twin Disc clutch, designed for drag racing and high horsepower/torque applications with minimal rotational mass. It features improved friction materials for occasional street use. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum, hard anodized for increased tensile strength and reduced flex (0.003" vs. 0.030" in cast units), providing consistent operation and greater clamping force. The QR System (Quick Release Pressure Plate) uses three spring-loaded bolts for smooth engagement/disengagement and up to 50% less internal clutch noise. Flywheels are application-specific, available in billet 6061-T6 aluminum (SFI spec 1.2, hard coat anodized, replaceable insert) or 1045 billet steel (black oxide treated). This specific product (TD7R) is the "Race" version, featuring two ceramic rigid discs.
