The FX400 System by Clutch Masters utilizes the Power Plus I Pressure Plate combined with a custom, highly durable, Sprung Ceramic disc. This kit is designed for extreme duty street use, as well as road and drag racing. It is available in 6-puck or 8-puck ceramic configurations; the 6-puck being more aggressive and the 8-puck being less aggressive (05110-HDCL specifically refers to the 8-puck version). The sprung hub design provides moderate dampening for high-torque applications, enhancing street drivability compared to solid designs. The disc offers outstanding holding capacity and rapid heat dissipation. The ceramic full disc design of the FX400/HDCL ensures quick and rapid engagement with minimal chatter, making it suitable for street-driven vehicles. Ceramic-based clutch discs are intended to increase holding capacity and durability, not necessarily life expectancy. Aggressive street driving with ceramic discs may reduce clutch kit life due to harsh engagement and a higher tendency to slip. Ceramic discs are not recommended for stock or near-stock vehicle applications.
