Clutch Masters 11-13 Buick Regal 2.0L 6-Speed 725 Series Race Twin Disc

The Clutch Masters FX725 is a 7.25" (184mm) Twin Disc clutch, specifically the "Race" version (04940-TD7R-XH) featuring two ceramic rigid discs. Designed for drag racing and engines/transmissions with smaller bell-housings, it can handle significant horsepower and torque with reasonable pedal pressure. While not ideal for street use due to minimal rotational mass, improvements in friction material allow for occasional street driving. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum and Type 3 hard anodized, offering approximately 25% more tensile strength than cast units and minimizing flex to 0.003" for consistent operation and greater clamping force. A unique QR System (Quick Release Pressure Plate) uses three spring-loaded bolts for even and smooth engagement/disengagement, reducing internal clutch noise by up to 50%. This is a conversion kit that requires a Clutch Masters flywheel (not included) and will not work with an OEM flywheel. Compatible aluminum flywheels are machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to SFI spec 1.2 and Type 3 hard coat anodized with a replaceable insert; steel flywheels are machined from 1045 billet cores and black oxide treated.
