Overview

The Clutch Masters FX725 is a 7.25" (184mm) Twin Disc clutch kit designed primarily for drag racing. It is engineered to handle tremendous horsepower and torque while maintaining reasonable pedal pressure. The kit features a billet aluminum cover assembly that is Type 3 hard anodized, offering approximately 25% more tensile strength than cast units and significantly reducing flex for consistent clutch operation. A unique feature is the QR System (Quick Release Pressure Plate), which incorporates three spring-loaded bolts to ensure even engagement and disengagement, reducing internal clutch noise/chatter by up to 50%. The kit includes an aluminum flywheel machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, meeting SFI spec 1.2 for competition, and Type 3 hard coat anodized for durability. Each aluminum flywheel includes a replaceable insert. This 'Race' version (TD7R) utilizes two ceramic rigid discs.
