Clutch Masters 99-05 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3.0L SOHC FX400 Sprung F/F Ceramic Clutch Kit

The FX400 System utilizes the Power Plus I Pressure Plate and a custom, highly durable, Sprung Ceramic disc. It's designed for extreme-duty street, road, and drag racing applications. It is available in 6 or 8 ceramic puck configurations, with the 6-puck being more aggressive. The sprung hub design provides moderate dampening in high-torque applications, making it more street-friendly. This disc offers outstanding holding capacity and rapid heat dissipation. FX400/HDCL (ceramic full disc): Quick and rapid engagement with minimal chatter due to a marcel cushion. Designed for street-driven vehicles. FX400/HDC6 (ceramic paddle disc): Quick and rapid engagement, but may have clutch chatter that's not ideal for street-driven vehicles due to a solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design. Engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. Uses premium ceramic friction material. Ceramic-based clutch discs are intended to increase holding capacity and durability, not necessarily life expectancy. Using them for easy street driving may reduce the clutch kit's life due to harsh engagement and a higher tendency to slip. Ceramic discs are not recommended for stock or near-stock vehicle applications.
