Many enthusiasts find the factory clutch pedal too light due to an overly boosted return spring, leading to a lack of feedback and confidence. While removing the spring entirely can add weight, it often results in undesirable play and slop. This kit replaces the stock clutch return spring with a lower-tension unit. The result is a more pronounced clutch engagement feel and a slightly heavier pedal without the negative side effects of a complete spring delete. The smoother pedal return is achieved through a reduced spring compression rate compared to the original component. This upgrade aims to provide a more traditional sports car clutch feel, making it easier to modulate engagement while remaining manageable for daily driving. Constructed to exceed OEM specifications, this clutch spring is made in the USA and finished with a tumbled, shot peened, and coated treatment for enhanced durability and a quality appearance. Installation is aided by included zip-ties to help compress the spring. The MTEC Industries Clutch Spring is specifically designed for the 2013-2016 Scion FR-S and 2013-2016 Subaru BRZ.
