The Steeda Clutch Spring Assist & Perch Kit addresses common complaints about broken factory spring perches and vague clutch pedal feel in the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST and RS. OE high-rate springs in these models can lead to a non-linear and confusing pedal feel, making modulation difficult. While some owners remove the stock spring, this can prevent the clutch pedal from fully returning to its stock position, potentially causing slave cylinder leaks over time due to constant pressure on its seals. This kit provides a solution by completely replacing the factory spring with a precisely tuned assist spring. Manufactured from piano wire, it possesses high tensile strength and elastic qualities, ensuring a consistent spring rate and minimal sag even after repeated use.
