CM SHIFTER GM 4L60 CHROME 12' BENCH

This shifter is designed for the GM 4L60E transmission. The 4L60E is an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission that evolved from the 700-R4. Key characteristics of the 4L60E, relevant for fitment: Introduction: 1993, as an electronically controlled version of the 700-R4. Bellhousing: Early versions (pre-1998 cars and trucks with small-block/big-block engines) had an integral bellhousing. Starting in 1996, many 4L60E transmissions used a bolt-on bellhousing. All 1998-up cases used with LS engines featured a separate (bolt-on) bellhousing. Torque Converters: 298mm converters were typically used with traditional Gen I or Gen II small-block engines. 300mm converters were used in LS applications. Compatibility between the converter and input shaft is crucial.
