The COBB Tuning SF Intake System (MPN 771550-BK) is designed to increase power by removing a pre-turbo restriction in the stock intake system. It uses a custom conical cloth air-filter element and a CFD-designed velocity stack that leads to a unique airflow straightener grid, ensuring smooth airflow past the Mass Air Flow sensor for precise readings. The intake features a one-piece design constructed from a high-temperature plastic composite, reducing weight and heat transfer. Installation is straightforward, requiring no cutting or trimming of components, and can be completed with simple hand tools. The filter comes pre-oiled. Aftermarket intakes for MAZDASPEEDs require tuning to ensure proper MAF sensor readings, and COBB Tuning provides Off-The-Shelf Maps for the Accessport.
