Cobra 5-Piece Idler Kit

The Metco Motorsports Cobra 5-Piece Idler Kit offers a comprehensive solution for upgrading the idler pulley system on your 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra, particularly for supercharged applications. The standard kit configuration features three 100mm idler pulleys and one 90mm idler pulley. The 90mm pulley is designed for the OEM center engine location to ensure proper belt clearance around the supercharger pulley. The 100mm pulleys are strategically placed on the auxiliary idler bracket, the driver's side of the engine, and the crank idler position to maximize belt wrap, reduce bearing speed, and enhance overall system efficiency. This idler pulley kit is available with either single-bearing or double-bearing pulleys. The single-bearing options offer a durable upgrade over OEM pulleys, featuring precision-machined billet construction, high-load, high-speed bearings, and hard-coat anodizing. For severe-duty or high-load applications, the double-bearing pulleys incorporate two heavy-duty bearings within the pulley bore to distribute side load more effectively, making them suitable for installations converted to a 10-rib drive belt. The double-bearing idler pulleys are 1.75" wide at the belt surface. When used with the Cobra's stock-style 8-rib belt, there will be approximately .25" of unused belt surface on the pulley; this is for informational purposes and does not affect fitment. The kit is also compatible with Whipple 3.0 Superchargers as of March 2025.
