Cobra Cold Air Intake System

The PRL Motorsports Cobra Cold Air Intake System is engineered to enhance the performance and engine acoustics of the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1.5T. It utilizes a 4-inch diameter from the high-flow oiled cone air filter directly into the MAF housing. Available with two MAF housing options, the Standard Bore housing provides factory-spec fuel trims without requiring any ECU calibration, yielding gains of 15 horsepower and 12 ft-lb of torque. For those seeking more, the Big Bore housing offers a 50% larger volume and requires a tune (Hondata or KTuner calibration recommended) for an estimated 20 horsepower and 15 ft-lb of torque increase. The system includes a HDPE rotomolded lower intake tube, 4-ply silicone hoses, and stainless steel hardware. This cold air intake system is CARB legal under EO D-878-5. It fits all 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1.5T models, including those with the Honda Sensing package, and all variant models such as CVT, RHD, and international models. However, it is not compatible with the factory CVT cooler found in specific Spanish and Turkish models. Canadian models will require a USDM windshield washer reservoir conversion, available separately. The system can also be converted to a Short Ram Intake using a conversion kit. It is important to note that while the Standard Bore MAF housing does not require an ECU tune, selecting the "Race MAF" option is compatible with Two Step Performance (TSP) and Phearable calibrations. Customers should be aware that the filter can become damp in extreme weather conditions, and it is advised to let it dry completely to prevent performance impact.
