Cobra Cold Air Intake System

The PRL Motorsports Cobra Cold Air Intake System is engineered to enhance the performance and engine safety of the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Si 1.5T. This system utilizes a precision CNC-machined billet aluminum MAF Housing, available in Standard Bore or Big Bore options, and a high-flow oiled cone air filter for optimal airflow. The construction incorporates a 4-ply silicone upper intake hose and a robust 6-ply silicone lower intake hose, connected to an HDPE rotomolded lower intake tube, all secured with durable 304 stainless steel worm clamps. For the Standard Bore MAF housing, no calibration or tuning is required, maintaining factory-spec fuel trims for optimal drivability and performance. The Big Bore housing offers a 50% larger volume of air to reduce pumping loss and feed the MAF housing with ambient temperature air, but necessitates a tune. Performance gains of up to 15 horsepower and 12 ft-lb of torque are claimed compared to stock with the Standard Bore MAF housing without a tune. This intake system is designed to fit all 2017-2021 Honda Civic Si 1.5T models, including those with the Honda Sensing Package. However, Canadian models require a USDM windshield washer reservoir conversion. The system is 50 State Legal under CARB EO D-878-5. Important notes include that the "Race MAF" option requires a tune and it is not compatible with the factory CVT cooler in certain regions (Spain, Turkey, etc.).
