Coil Spring to Coilover Kit w/ Viking Shocks

The Atomic Fabrication 99-06 2WD Coil Spring to Coilover Kit is engineered to facilitate a coilover swap on 1999-2006 2WD coil spring 1500 trucks. This comprehensive package includes AFP 2WD Coilover Brackets, which can be either bolt-on or weld-on depending on selected options, two Viking Double Adjustable Coilover Shocks (Warrior or Crusader series), two Viking Coilover Springs, and a Viking thrust washer and spanner wrench kit. This kit offers significant adjustability for ride height and performance. For stock height to 3" lift, stock control arms and spindles are compatible. A 1-2" drop option for daily drivers utilizes a hybrid kit with a tapered coil spring. For drops of 3" or more, a weld-on upper mount or a combination of the standard bolt-on kit with drop control arms or spindles is required. Dedicated racing applications are recommended to use the weld-on brackets regardless of ride height. An optional new weld-on upper bracket is available for 99-06 GMT800 1500 trucks (both 2WD and 4WD). These mounts replace the factory shock perch, requiring welding to the frame. Constructed from 1/4" and 3/8" thick steel, they are designed for strength and stability, featuring an offset angle to prevent shock binding. Installation requires welding skills and appropriate tools. For the weld-on option, different shock bearing widths (1.25" for top, 1" for bottom) are utilized. This kit is specifically for 1500 series trucks and **does not fit 2500s**. For those seeking more than a 2" drop, combining the coilovers with a lowering spindle and/or drop LCA, or selecting the weld-on upper mount option, is necessary. For trucks lifted up to 4", the stock LCA should work. Users are advised to measure from the wheel center to the fender lip to determine their current setup.
